frustration of discussion .
discussions with my fellow jehovahs witnesses (jw) is not an easy affair when difficult subjects and questions are addressed to ones who pride themselves on an ability to answer for all doctrines as published in the watchtower, which we know as the chief journal of the governing body of jehovahs witnesses and published by the watchtower bible and tract society of new york (wts) and associated corporations.
a recent experience exemplifies this difficulty and how it poses a considerable hindrance to growth in knowledge and understanding among jws.

in this thread rado shows us how to search the wt site using google: http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/forum/thread.asp?id=22641&site=3.
i did a search using his link and found this statement as a footnote at the bottom of the article: .
daily aspirin.
Yes, the stuff about aluminum and vaccinations was published in “Awake!” or more likely “Consolation” its predecessor.
do you see it alot?.
i know that they say "no rated r movies.
" and then you go to their homes, see all the "ok for public viewing" titles, then they say, "but the good movies are in our bedroom.
"The platform says pay your taxes, and you talk to all the hairstylists and waiters and day care sisters and they all mention their tax free earnings."
In my experience JWs are among the least desirable workers on the job scene. I would not hire them if anyone else was available.

Have at it guys and gals. Words escape me when it comes to describing my disgust at this lie.

sKally,
You are welcome. Hopefully, this is the first step in a long series of maneuvers that will lead to your healing. Sure, scares will remain, we all have them, but eventually they can become less noticeable to us. I hope that will be the case in your situation, sKally.
Please keep us posted, from time to time, on how you are doing.
Warm regards,
Sam Beli

hello friends,.
i thought this might interst you:.
the wts is a regular visitor of watchtower information service, in the definition of the watchtower, an apostate website (screenshots of site statistics that proof the visits of the wts are shown in the article)!.
I agree with CF that this could be the legal department looking. They very well may be distressed by Fado's use of the "Watchtower" name in the title of his site.
He may want to get ready for a legal onslaught from WT legal.

Jst2laws,
Thank you for your observations. I agree with what you have said above.
Hopefully, Wick and sf will find comfort and peace of mind with time and the healing that can come from talking here and elsewhere. We who were elders have much to regret. If we can now help an injured person heal, perhaps we can make-up for some of the hurt we caused in the past.
I hope so, for the sake of Wick, sf and all the other injured ones out there.

sf,
Thank you for telling us something about the source of your pain. It does help us understand where you are coming from.
I am concerned that after 25 years it still hurts you so much, but then ladies are often closer to parents, especially to mothers than guys are. At least, that has been my experience.
My own, most hurtful JW experiences are also about 25 years old. They still hurt, but much less so, mostly because I have been able to move away from the city where the hurtful experiences occurred and from my JW parents. A recent letter from my dad asked if I liked my apostate friends more than “Jehovah’s people?” he has no idea really about what my activities are; he does know that I no longer hold the GB in high esteem like he does.
For you, sf, it appears that it is nearly impossible to get rid of the hateful influence that hurt you so much those 25 years ago. I can’t imagine how your mother could marry the guy who was so ignorant as to say to you the things you mentioned.
Certainly, I do not know enough about your situation to offer any advice. Just remember this: that many of us here are anxious to see you mend, to heal and to have the pain subside. Sometimes talking about it helps and you have begun that here. Keep it up as you feel safe in doing so. E-mail those whom you trust and pour out your heart if you whish. I’m sure many of us are willing to hear and help. Many of us have been hurt by the elders and others and we can provide a sympathetic ear.
Thanks Wick for bringing up this useful thread.

with a friend suddenly confronted with the prospect of being disfellowshiped recently it got me wondering about how an elder feels the first time he disfellowships someone.. the first time you disfellowshiped someone was there regret?
sadness?
or a sense of justice?.
Hello sKally,
Apparently this matter of prayer after Dfing is very important to you; and you must have been hurt by someone or thing even since coming here. therefore I will respond.
I have never told anyone to not pray nor have I told anyone that if they did it would not be heard. IMHO prayer is a very personal thing and no one should presume to come between an individual and his/her creator. The JWs have many opinions about many matters and prayer is no exception. Rules about who can pray (men, but not women in men’s presence), etc. I have heard JWs criticize non JW ministers and priests and say or imply that their prayers are not heard. A JW caught in a crowd where a non JW prays usually will not bow his/her head nor say “amen.”
When it comes right down to it, JWs think that only their prayers are heard. However, they contradict themselves when they give “experiences” wherein a householder was praying for guidance just before a JW knocked on their door. That was one of the many “double-think” issues that troubled me many years ago and served as part of a long list of issues that finally lead to my departing from the WTS.
I’m not sure why the silence form others, unless I just don’t “get it” with respect to your question.
